Why exfoliate? Your complexion will be brighter, and your skin care products will work better, aiding in the skin cell turnover that slows as we age. This mask is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, which hydrate and nourish the skin, and natural enzymes, alpha hydroxy acids, that provide exfoliation.
Mask is good for a week when stored in the refrigerator!
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup pumpkin from 15 ounce can (save remainder for smoothie)
2 tablespoons plain, unflavored yogurt (contains lactic acid, a gentle exfoliator)
2 tablespoons finely ground almonds (rich in antioxidants, also helps aid in exfoliation) or chia seeds
1 tablespoon honey (antibacterial)
2 teaspoons olive, almond, or Argan oil (moisturizing, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory)
Directions: Mix all together and apply to face (mask works better if remains moist so use in shower/bath) for 10-15 minutes, rinse with cool water, then apply your regular treatments and moisturizer.
Use twice a week for best results.
