The perfect cocktail for holiday sipping!
Flavored simple syrups are a must have when building great cocktails. Here, I use an easy to make banana simple syrup, recipe link below, to create a frothy, luscious cocktail. You can also use regular simple syrup if you'd like.
If you love a White Russian or Mudslide, give this stout, creamy cocktail a try. Brandy and vodka curb the richness, the coffee liqueur gives it kick, and the salted espresso rim adds a nice sweet/salty punch. I love it!
Prep Time: 5 minutes (excluding banana simple syrup prep.
Yield: One cocktail
Use whatever ice filled glass you prefer. I love to serve in tall beer glasses or shake and pour straight up for the martini version ❤️.
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua)
1 ounce brandy (you can use dark rum if you prefer)
1 ounce banana simple syrup. Or 1/2 ounce banana liqueur
1 ounce cream
Glass Rim - Create in 3 quick steps.
Rim base. In a flat plate, dip rim of glass just a touch into the coffee liqueur. Then carefully dip again into that magnificent flaky light salt by #maldon.
Mix all ingredients in an iced cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds. Ensure the cocktail is shaken well, as the ice and cream create a frothy but not overly creamy drink.
Strain into a salt and espresso rimmed ice-filled rocks glass (or rimmed chilled martini glasses).
Happy celebrations.
