Banana Mudslide Cocktail
Updated: Nov 30, 2022

Flavored simple syrups are a must have when building great cocktails. Here, I use an easy to make banana simple syrup, recipe link below, to create a frothy, creamsicle of a cocktail. If you love a White Russian or Mudslide, give this luscious, stout, creamy summer cocktail a try. Brandy and vodka curb the richness, the coffee liqueur gives it kick, and the salted caramel rim adds a nice sweet/salty punch. I love it!
Prep Time: 5 minutes (excluding banana simple syrup prep) Yield: One cocktail
1 ounce vodka
1 ounce coffee liqueur (such as Kahlua)
1 ounce brandy (you can use rum if you prefer)
1 ounce banana simple syrup
1 ounce cream
Glass Rim: Finishing salt or Kosher salt and caramel topping
Mix all ingredients in an iced cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds. Ensure the cocktail is shaken well, as the ice and cream create a frothy but not overly creamy drink. Strain into a salt and caramel rimmed ice-filled rocks glass.
