Cherry Bourbon Cocktail

For all you bourbon whiskey lovers looking for a new cocktail recipe, this is one you'll love! It's a vibrant, stout, yet refreshing, flavor-layered drink that plays to all the notes of the bourbon. Fresh dark cherry infused bourbon adds a luscious depth that makes this bourbon cocktail a star. Perfect for sipping any time of year.

Making cherry infused bourbon is simple to make, it's a staple in my home bar for endless cocktai recipes.

Dark Cherry Infused Bourbon Recipe

Yield: 2+ cups

  1. Pour 2 cups of your favorite bourbon in a food safe glass container.

  2. Add 1/2 cup fresh dark pitted cherries. Use a muddler to macerate the cherries.

  3. Store in a cool dark place for 2 days. Stir bourbon periodically as it rests.

  4. Strain and you have a sultry elixir to enjoy in so many ways. (To strain, I use a fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth for silkiest result.). There are many bourbons to choose from, here I use Elijah Craig, for it's spicy overtones.

  5. Store the cherry bourbon in the refrigerator.
